The dressing features a transparent border that allows clinicians to monitor the surrounding skin without removing the dressing. Like all Mepilex Border products, it uses Safetac silicone adhesive that moulds softly to skin without sticking to the moist wound, minimizing pain at dressing changes and reducing the risk of peri-incisional blistering. The dressing is showerproof with a waterproof, bacteria-proof film backing and can be worn for up to 7 days depending on wound condition.
Mepilex Border Post-Op is available in 7 sizes: 6 cm x 8 cm, 9 cm x 10 cm, 9 cm x 15 cm, 10 cm x 20 cm, 10 cm x 25 cm, 10 cm x 30 cm, and 10 cm x 35 cm. The larger rectangular sizes (10 cm x 25 cm and above) are designed for longer surgical incisions and can manage large amounts of exudate. All sizes are sold in boxes of sterile dressings.

It is showerproof, so it does not need to be replaced after bathing. Always follow your clinician's instructions for dressing change frequency.
