Tubigrip Bandages

Ships within Canada only.

Tubigrip is an elasticated tubular support bandage from Molnlycke that provides firm support and light compression for sprains, strains, and swelling. The bandage is applied in a double layer — cut to twice the length of the affected limb, pull over the limb, and fold back — to create controlled sub-bandage pressure without pins, clips, or tape. Tubigrip is made from cotton, elastodiene, and polyester. Contains natural rubber latex.

Tubigrip is available in 8 letter-coded sizes (A through J) to fit limb circumferences from 10cm to 82cm. The smaller sizes (A) provide 20–30 mmHg sub-bandage pressure in double layer, the mid-range sizes (B through F) provide 10–20 mmHg, and the largest sizes (G and J) provide 5–15 mmHg. All sizes are supplied on 10 metre rolls and can be cut to length for minimal waste.

Tubigrip is a single-patient, multi-use product that can be washed up to 5 times. If soiled with bodily fluids, discard and replace. If you need latex-free dressing retention without compression, see Tubifast 2-Way Stretch bandages.

Important: Tubigrip contains natural rubber latex which may cause allergic reactions including anaphylactic responses. Do not use if known hypersensitivity to latex.

Tubigrip Bandages FAQ
How do I choose the right Tubigrip size?
Measure the circumference of the affected limb and refer to the size guide above. Tubigrip sizes range from A (10–14.5cm) for fingers and small wrists to J (54–82cm) for large trunks. Select the size where your measurement falls within the minimum and maximum circumference range.
How do I apply Tubigrip?
Cut the bandage to twice the length of the affected limb. If needed, make two slits for a thumb hole. Pull the bandage over the limb, then fold the excess back over the first layer to create a double layer. This double-layer application provides the correct sub-bandage pressure for support.
What is the difference between Tubigrip and Tubifast?
Tubigrip is an elasticated support bandage that provides compression (5–30 mmHg depending on size) for sprains, strains, and swelling. It contains natural rubber latex. Tubifast is a lightweight dressing retention bandage that holds dressings in place without compression. Tubifast is latex-free. Choose Tubigrip for support and compression, and Tubifast for dressing retention.
Can Tubigrip be washed and reused?
Yes. Tubigrip is a single-patient, multi-use product that can be washed up to 5 times. However, if soiled with bodily fluids, it should be discarded and replaced immediately.
Does Tubigrip contain latex?
Yes. Tubigrip contains natural rubber latex which may cause allergic reactions, including anaphylactic responses. Do not use if you have a known latex allergy. For a latex-free alternative for dressing retention, see Tubifast 2-Way Stretch.
