Mepilex Transfer is a thin, conformable wound contact layer from Molnlycke that works differently from standard foam dressings. Rather than absorbing and retaining exudate within the dressing itself, Mepilex Transfer vertically transfers exudate away from the wound bed into a secondary absorbent pad placed on top (such as Mextra Superabsorbent or a gauze pad). This makes it ideal for difficult-to-dress wounds, large wound areas, and situations where you need to separate the wound contact layer from the absorbent layer.

The dressing features a Safetac silicone wound contact layer that seals around the wound edges, allowing direct contact with the wound and surrounding skin - even on uneven surfaces. The Safetac layer prevents exudate from leaking onto surrounding skin, minimizing the risk of maceration. Mepilex Transfer can also be used as a protective layer on non-exuding wounds or large areas of fragile skin.

This collection includes both standard Mepilex Transfer (4 sizes) and Mepilex Transfer Ag with silver sulfate antimicrobial (4 sizes). The Ag version inactivates wound-related pathogens within 30 minutes and provides sustained antimicrobial protection for up to 14 days. All sizes can be cut to shape and used under compression bandages.

Standard Transfer sizes: 7.5 cm x 8.5 cm, 10 cm x 12 cm, 15 cm x 20 cm, and 20 cm x 50 cm. Transfer Ag sizes: 7.5 cm x 8.5 cm, 10 cm x 12.5 cm, 12.5 cm x 12.5 cm, and 20 cm x 50 cm.

Can Mepilex Transfer be cut to shape?
