As a non-bordered dressing, Mepilex Ag requires secondary fixation such as tape, a bandage, or a compression wrap. It features a Safetac silicone wound contact layer that adheres gently to intact skin without sticking to the moist wound bed, allowing painless dressing changes and wound inspection without loss of adhesion. The absorbent polyurethane foam pad maintains a moist wound environment while minimizing the risk of maceration.
Mepilex Ag is available in 4 sizes: 10 cm x 10 cm, 10 cm x 20 cm, 15 cm x 15 cm, and 20 cm x 20 cm. All sizes are sold in boxes of sterile dressings and can be used under compression bandages.
