How Aquacel Foam Non-Adhesive works: The Hydrofiber wound contact layer gels on contact with wound fluid, locking in exudate and helping maintain a moist environment that supports the body's natural healing process. A soft foam pad absorbs excess fluid and provides cushioning for patient comfort. The waterproof polyurethane film backing allows moisture vapour to escape while providing a barrier against external contaminants. Since there is no adhesive border, you'll need medical tape, a bandage wrap, tubular retention bandage, or compression bandage to secure the dressing over the wound.
