Melgisorb Plus 5 x 5cm is a soft, highly absorbent alginate dressing from Molnlycke designed for moderately to heavily exuding wounds. Each sterile pad is made from calcium sodium alginate fibres that create a gel on contact with wound fluid or saline. Once gelled, the dressing does not adhere to the wound site, supporting comfortable removal at dressing changes. Melgisorb Plus absorbs and retains wound exudate and has haemostatic ability. The 5 x 5cm size is suited for smaller wound sites and can be cut to shape if needed. Each box contains 10 individually packaged sterile dressings.

Who Is It For

Melgisorb Plus 5 x 5cm is intended for a wide range of moderately to heavily exuding wounds, both infected and non-infected, including pressure injuries, venous and arterial ulcers, diabetic ulcers, post-operative wounds, dermal lesions, and trauma wounds. It requires a secondary dressing for fixation. Consult your healthcare provider to determine if this dressing is appropriate for your wound care needs.
