Tubifast is manufactured from viscose with fine elastane threads knitted into the fabric, providing light elasticity in both directions. It holds dressings securely in place and has less fray than traditional tubular bandages, reducing the risk of fibres in the wound. Tubifast can be used for dressing retention, wet and dry patch wrapping, and as an under-cast stockinette. A double layer can be applied for extra security. Tubifast is latex-free.
This collection includes 5 colour-coded sizes, all on 10 metre rolls: Red Line (3.5cm) for small limbs, Green Line (5cm) for small and medium limbs, Blue Line (7.5cm) for large limbs, Yellow Line (10.75cm) for extra-large limbs, heads, and children's trunks, and Purple Line (20cm) for adult trunks. Tubifast 2-Way Stretch FAQ
What sizes does Tubifast come in?
Tubifast 2-Way Stretch is available in five colour-coded sizes, all on 10 metre rolls: Red Line (3.5cm) for small limbs such as fingers and toes, Green Line (5cm) for small and medium limbs, Blue Line (7.5cm) for large limbs, Yellow Line (10.75cm) for extra-large limbs, heads, and children's trunks, and Purple Line (20cm) for adult trunks.
How does the two-way stretch work?
Tubifast is manufactured from viscose with fine elastane threads knitted into the fabric both radially (around) and longitudinally (along the length). This two-way elasticity allows the bandage to stretch in both directions, conforming to body contours while allowing complete freedom of movement without constriction or compression.
Do I need pins or tape with Tubifast?
No. Tubifast's tubular design holds dressings securely in place without the need for pins or tape. Simply cut to the desired length, stretch the bandage open, and ease gently into place over the dressing. A double layer can be applied for extra security.
Can Tubifast be washed and reused?
Tubifast is a single-patient, multi-use product. It can be washed and reused by the same patient. However, if soiled with bodily fluids, it should be discarded appropriately and replaced.
Is Tubifast latex-free?
Yes. Natural rubber latex is not a constituent of Tubifast 2-Way Stretch or its packaging. The bandage is made from viscose, elastane, and polyamide.
