Melgisorb Plus Alginate Cavity Dressing 3 x 45cm

Melgisorb Plus 3 x 45cm is a cavity dressing from Molnlycke designed for packing into deep wounds, tunnelling wounds, and sinus tracts with moderate to heavy exudate. Each sterile rope is made from calcium sodium alginate fibres that create a gel on contact with wound fluid or saline. Once gelled, the dressing does not adhere to the wound site, supporting comfortable removal at dressing changes. Melgisorb Plus absorbs and retains wound exudate and has haemostatic ability. The cavity format is cut to the appropriate length and loosely packed into the wound. Each box contains 5 individually packaged sterile cavity dressings.

Who Is It For

Melgisorb Plus 3 x 45cm Cavity is intended for deep, moderately to heavily exuding wounds, both infected and non-infected, including pressure injuries, venous and arterial ulcers, diabetic ulcers, post-operative wounds, dermal lesions, and trauma wounds. It requires a secondary dressing for fixation. Consult your healthcare provider to determine if this dressing is appropriate for your wound care needs.
