Sold individually (1/Each). The Med-Aire Assure is an alternating-pressure and low-air-loss mattress system that combines 5-inch air cells with a 3-inch foam base, for pressure ulcer prevention and treatment.
The system provides both alternating pressure and low air loss to redistribute pressure, reduce shear, and control the microclimate. The control unit runs 10-minute alternating cycles or holds a static mode, with adjustable weight settings and an audio and visual low-pressure alarm. 17 individual 5-inch air cells sit over a 3-inch foam base that protects the patient during a power outage.
It is used to prevent, treat, and help heal pressure ulcers on a homecare or long-term-care bed. A CPR valve deflates the mattress quickly in an emergency.
