Sold individually (1/Each). The Med-Aire Alternating Pressure Pump and Pad System is a bubble-pad mattress overlay with a quiet pump. It is offered in variable-pressure and fixed-pressure versions.
The quiet pump alternately inflates and deflates 130 individual bubble air cells to shift pressure under the patient. On the variable-pressure model, the pump setting adjusts for individual comfort. The heavy-gauge vinyl bubble pad lays over an existing mattress, and the pump has built-in brackets that hang on the bed frame.
It is used to help prevent and treat pressure ulcers on a homecare or long-term-care bed. The pad is available with or without end flaps that tuck under the mattress.
