This is a clear, all-silicone indwelling urinary catheter made by Medline. The silicone body does not react with body tissue, which makes it a good fit for longer-term indwelling use. A radiopaque strip runs along the catheter so it shows up on X-ray for position checks.
Size 16 Fr is one of the most common adult sizes. It is often the starting size for routine indwelling catheterization in adults. The 10 mL balloon holds the catheter in place inside the bladder after it is filled with sterile water.
