Promogran Prisma Matrix is a sterile, freeze-dried collagen wound dressing designed to support healing in chronic and stalled wounds. Each box contains 10 hexagonal dressings measuring 28cm².
Composition: 55% collagen, 44% oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC), and 1% silver-ORC containing 25% w/w ionically bound silver.
How Promogran Prisma Works
When Promogran Prisma contacts wound exudate, it transforms into a soft, conformable, biodegradable gel that covers the wound bed. This gel maintains a moist microenvironment that supports granulation tissue formation and epithelialization. The ionically bound silver provides antimicrobial protection against common wound pathogens.
For wounds with low or no exudate, the dressing can be hydrated with sterile saline solution to activate the gel-forming process. Promogran Prisma is biodegradable — residual dressing does not need to be removed at dressing changes.
Intended Use
Promogran Prisma is indicated for wounds healing by secondary intent that are clear of necrotic tissue, including:
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Venous leg ulcers
- Pressure ulcers (pressure injuries)
- Traumatic wounds
- Surgical wounds
- Dehisced surgical wounds
Promogran Prisma may be used under compression bandaging as directed by a healthcare professional. It is compatible with negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) systems when prepared according to the manufacturer's instructions.

How to Apply
- Prepare the wound bed per standard wound care protocol. Debride if necessary.
- Apply Promogran Prisma directly to the entire wound bed.
- For dry wounds, moisten with sterile saline to initiate gel formation.
- Cover with a semi-occlusive or non-occlusive secondary dressing.
- Secure with non-irritating tape.
- Reapply every 24–72 hours depending on exudate levels.
Important: Promogran Prisma is not indicated for third-degree burns or for patients with known sensitivity to collagen, ORC, or silver. This product is intended for use under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Always follow the manufacturer's Instructions for Use (IFU).
