Mepore Film Transparent Film Dressing 6 x 7cm

Mepore Film 6 x 7cm is a sterile, transparent, breathable film dressing from Molnlycke. The thin polyurethane film is moisture vapour permeable, allowing excess moisture to pass away from the wound and surrounding skin while maintaining a moist wound environment. Mepore Film is viral and bacteria proof, impermeable to fluids, and provides a barrier against outside contamination. The skin-friendly polyacrylic adhesive provides gentle, secure fixation, and the supporting release paper and frame make application easy, even when wearing gloves. The 6 x 7cm size is the smallest in the Mepore Film range and is well suited for small clean wounds, IV sites, or as a secondary dressing over primary wound care products. Each box contains 100 individually packaged sterile dressings.

Who Is It For

Mepore Film 6 x 7cm can be used as a primary dressing on clean, non-exuding wounds in the granulation phase including superficial burns, IV sites, abrasions, lacerations, superficial pressure ulcers, and closed surgical wounds. It can also be used for prevention of skin breakdown or as a secondary dressing to cover primary dressings such as hydrogels, alginates, and foam dressings.
