Each sterile pad is made from non-woven polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fibres coated with silver sulphate. On contact with wound fluid, the fibres transform into a soft gel that conforms to the wound bed. The silver releases ions that are shown to inactivate a broad range of wound-related pathogens including bacteria, fungi, and moulds (in vitro). Exufiber Ag+ promotes autolytic debridement to help break down slough and support a clean wound bed. The tightly packed fibres lock in exudate while capillary action transfers fluid to the secondary dressing, reducing the risk of pooling, leakage, and maceration. The dressing stays intact for clean one-piece removal. The 20 x 30cm size provides extensive wound coverage for larger wound sites.
